I guess it is angled near 5 degrees more than the HS, that help me hold it better. When shooting, I felt the recoil 'a lot' with the HS/XD (4" barrel), more than the Glock 34 (5.3" barrel). I also lost the sights between each shot. With the G34 it was easier to re-gain the sight picture between shots.I have to say, the XDm just looks better. However, one thing that the Glock guys evidentally like is it's simple appearance. They both shot very well and when he gets use to the XDm a little more, who knows, he may become a SA guy (I doubt it though). Thanks for the video. Dec 1, 2006 · Only downsides to the XD [was] the finish that wore off, no extended slide releases (which is only needed for us lefties), and the fact that the IDPA crew doesn't think it's a Service Pistol due to it's trigger internals. The XD's slide is a little thicker than the G-19, but with the right holster it's a non-issue.
As to the XD-45, the XDM-45 4.5" was a major improvement in almost every respect, that resulted in a gun that I like way better than the G21.
